On Vacation

Perfume-Smellin' Things will be on vacation till August 16th. I have a feeling that the only two scents I will be packing will be Michael Kors for the day and Sotto Voce for the night. What perfumes would you take with you on a holiday?

Have wonderful two weeks, everybody!

oh my gosh... noooo!!! :) hahaha... Of course we all hope you have a wonderful vacation. You will be missed for sure! I am on vacation myself, and I brought with me CdG 2MAN, Terre d'Hermes, Cartier Declaration, and Un Jardin Sur le Nil (I'm in Florida, hence the citrus), and am receiving many samples in the meantime :) Enjoy!

Have a lovely holiday, Marina. I'm not leaving much, but I feel Chanel's Eau de Cologne will hit the spot.

I usually pack some L'occitane thing (Mimosa for example) and then it depends... :-) You know, I just fell in love with LB Roma. I remember trying it years ago and wasn't impressed and now one day I simply sprayed my hand in the shop... Such case usually makes me stop and think for a while - there are beautiful things around me and I don't see them.:-(
Have a nice holiday! Changing the air is always refreshing. It doesn't solve the problems we have, but gives us new views and new ideas and that is useful.

Hooray! A real holiday for you!

This summer marked my first holiday as a perfume creature...so I packed a few samps/decants...it seemed that Hiris was what I ended up picking when it came time to dress fully in the woods/at the lake.

Be well, have fun,

Marina, Enjoy your vacation! If I were going somewhere right now, I'd bring L'Ombre dans L'Eau for daytime, a dab of Or et Noir for evening, and Bellodgia for everything in-between.

Have a great time! I'm supposed to be packing for Newport right now, and at the risk of being Anthony's cupycat, I suspect it's Un Jardin sur le Nil that will hop in th ebag to come along with me. The scent is perfect for the beach, and I have a soft spot for the cute Hermes 10ml bottles.

I hope your vacation is filled with love and the fulfillment of your vacation expectations, Marina!
Were I EVER to go on vacation, I would take only one perfume with me- vintage Je Reviens :-)

Hello, Marina! I hope you enjoy your vacation. I'll miss your blog in the meantime.

On vacation, I would probably take some Parfums de Nicolaï Cologne Sologne (my new favourite eau de cologne), and some Serge Lutens Fleurs D'Oranger (for instant fabulousness while on holiday).

Have a FABULOUS vacation!!!

I guess what I would take would depend on where I was going - but I would take something fresh and versatile for day, such as Max Mara or Balmain de Balmain, and something truly wicked for night, since I would expect to be going out to someplace special on vacation - so Carnal Flower or Habanita or Nahema or Persephone New York for sultry evenings...:-)

If I were to go on vacation now I'd pack some samples, as I always do. I have been in Rome this summer (first week of July) and I packed samples from Escale à Portofino, Very Irresistible Summer Cocktail, L'eau d'Issey and a lot of 1916 Eau de Cologne.

Nowadays, I wouldn't go without Aqua Allegoria Mandarine-Basilic and L'Occitane Verveine.

Have a good time, Colombina! Enjoy your vacation!

Hey everyone!
speaking of perfume, I had the chance to get samples from this new fragrance line called zodiak perfume. Each fragrance smells differently and based on the category your sign is under such as air-earth-water and fire- it will smell from heavenly light to spicy- check out the site or ask for samples!

Happy Holiday to you. Just came back from mine and can report here proudly that when visiting Paris, KIKI by vero.profumo is a must.

I just went on vacation too, and just got back from a cruise to Alaska ... I took Tauer's L'Eau de Desert Marocain for day wear and MEANT to take Bruno Acampora's Jasmin with me for evening wear... but somehow, in the shuffle, I forgot the Jasmin. Heartbreak! However, I did have my little bottle of Monyette Paris for the creamy-white-flower jones because it lives in my make-up kit. I cheated, though, as I picked up two more scents at inexpensive outlets whilst on vacation.

Have a wonderful time, Marina!

Have a wonderful vacation.\! I usually pack a body cream and a scent so I can blend them at will. In this hot weather I favor Eau Iluminee body cream and L'eau d'hiver fragrance. Perfect alone, wonderful together.

i'm a little late wishing you a wonderful vacation. Hope you have a great time!
This summer I'm spending in Eau de Cartier, Haute Provence by PdN (when am I not wearing this?), and a Madini oil called Oud which, despite it's name, is all flowers and spice on me.
I'll miss your posts in the meantime.

I took Coach and Hierbas de Ibiza for both day and night. The Hierbas worked for my husband, too.
