Winner, Coming Attractions and Short Poll

Winner of the Magnifique draw is Anita. Please send me your address using the contact me link on the right.

Coming this week: on Thursday, everything will be Illuminated with Tom's review of something über-niche and, on Friday, tune in for our Top 10 of Fall.

And because I sadly don't have for anything more creative...

I am wearing Chanel Beige and OPI Parlez-Vous OPI? What are you wearing?

Hmm, wore Chêne all day, am now wearing a t-shirt that smells of TDC Osmanthus, with Bois des Îles on one wrist and Cèdre on the other.

Now, what should I wear to bed? HA!

Van Cleef and Arpels Feerie and OPI for Sephora Metro Chic.

Love the nails, not the Feerie so much. It doesn't stink but it's not making me happy! Oh well, hooray for lemmings shot dead!

Black Orchid, by Tom Ford. Yummy on what is a cold and a frosty morning. Beige sounds gorgeous, but it's SO exclusive I could hardly even find any information about it online, never mind in real, sniffable life! - Emma

Am wearing Mitsouko, L'Heure Bleue and a bit of Y and Miss Dior this morning (ankles and wrists have all been utilized and all in parfum form, so low sillage). Decision making was not my strong suit this morning and, frankly, I'm enjoying all of them, so have no regrets.

Was ready to wear Coromandel (to me the scent of earth when it's raining, somewhere in paradise), but instead I chose L'eau d'hiver, which I had nearly dismissed after loving it for a few months. Now I've learned that I have to wear it in its right season. And while it lasts, it's like rolling on the damp grass, with snow falling all around you. OK I'll stop before you shoot me :-)

Four of those Humiecki & Graef thingies on various body parts, an overspray of Navegateur on top (heh heh, TOO MUCH??!?!) because it's fall, and OPI You Don't Know Jacques, which looks heeeedious in the bottle but lovely with my skin tone.

Today it's Five O'Clock au Gingembre by Serge Lutens. Today is my birthday and it seemed festive in my bleary got-to-get-ready-for-work mode this morning. Also, I've been fighting a sinus thing that gives me the phantom scent of cigar smoke, very strong, for two weeks and this was the first thing I sniffed that didn't emphasize the phantom. :)

Divalano -- LOVE Fiori d'Ambra. My partner wears all of these wonderful warm amber scents and they shine on him.

Tom has a review of an "uber-niche" fragrance? Ooh, I can't wait to read it!

Today I am wearing Byredo Pulp (love it!) and OPI Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not on tips and OPI I've Red the Script on the toesies (this is a gorgeous shimmery red from last year's Hollywood collection that you have to check out, M).

Just bought OPI's Baby It's Coal Outside (which is sold-out all over my side of town...I got the last bottle of it on Monday) and Brand New Skates, which I think I will love. It's dark silver, not my favorite color as I prefer grey, but it has these beautiful rainbow glitters in it.

Hugs!

Montale Velvet Flowers and a 'no-name' fuschia nail color (bottle lost its label and I don't recall its name) that perfectly matches the silk blouse I'm wearing with my charcoal grey power suit today.

Caron pour Homme, which I am giving a test run today. Will be writing up my thoughts...

My nails are filed, but not buffed. Which would be as much as it gets 360 days of the year. :)

(Realizing that profiling is trending strongly in one direction today....)

PdE's Ambre Russe. It's warming up a chilly day.

And on the toes, Sephora brand silver shimmery stuff. Nicer than it sounds.

Sage Onyx and just got a new manicure today with Opi Taupeless Dancer, a gorgeous pale copper color, good for autumn, but I'm afraid it's discontinued. I've got to find a bottle to buy!

Hi Marina! I'm reading this on Wednesday morning...no perfume yet, but yesterday I wore Flowerbomb. For three days in a row before that, though, I wore Magnifique. I suppose I'm not quite jaded yet--not having sniffed enough greats--because I'm really into this thing. It's a bit too quiet for me, though. I'm wishing it had more punch. You mentioned oud. Having no idea what oud smells like, I'm wondering, is this what I'm craving??? Perhaps they'll release an "intense" version!? Regardless, I may end up buying a bottle of the EDP (I only have a sample vial of it right now). I do happen to have a bottle of Notorious, though (thanks to a free giveaway on NST), and I can't say I'm loving it as much as the Magnifique. I keep trying it, but it's just not wooing me. Not that it's bad...but it's just kind of blah. Like Sensuous.

I'm luxuriating in Czech & Speake No. 88, a sample of which was gifted to me by a dear friend. Heavenly!
